New York, New York so good they named it twice is one of the most fascinating, exciting and cultural cities in the world. Some of the greatest museums in the world can be found in New York and several are conveniently located together at the edge of Central Park. Attracting more visitors than any other place in the city is the Metropolitan Museum of Art and it also offers everything from Egyptian mummies to 20th century masterpieces.

Another thing you need to keep in mind is that there are 50 smaller but fascinating museums dedicated to such diverse subjects as firefighting, tenement living and the history of finance in the city. Since there are several museums aimed at children as well as the ever popular Bronx Zoo with its more than 4,000 animals, this means that the children are not forgotten.

The remains of the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan is considered as one of New York’s biggest attractions since the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. More than a tourist attraction, to many it’s a site of pilgrimage and a poignant reminder of the events of that day.

Restaurants in Costa Rica

It was bound to be a big day for Ricardo Campos no matter what side of the bed he woke up on. His new restaurant was providing lunch to a group of visitors in the Osa Mountain Eco Village Resort community center. And he knew it wasn’t going to be a small group. More than 40 people were on their way to learn about food production and sustainable living concepts that make the resort community different from any other developments. People were coming in to speak to the group about the topics being presented. The kitchen still needed to be put together the morning of the meeting. Plastic wrap needed to be removed from almost every piece of equipment in the kitchen. Volunteer help from Leigha Wald, Jarvia Fishell, Catherine Overturf & Lisa Bronzi made it possible to serve a wonderful Casado lunch to everyone in attendance. Ricardo served salad, rice, beans, plantains and a choice of beef or chicken. Everyone had a smile on their face. We have heard that Ricardo is an excellent cook, but his wife Marva is a Cordon Bleu trained desert chef. When she returns we expect some amazing desserts to come out of the kitchen. Marva was unable to be at the grand opening of her own restaurant due to prior commitments in the US. She’ll be coming back soon though. Regular hours will be coming soon when Cilantro Restaurant opens on a daily basis. Until then everyone is working around their schedule. In the mean time working up an appetite is no problem on one of the many tour adventures offered at Osa Mountain Village Resort. It’s a fantastic opportunity to stay active and see the best the country offers.
