MOLALLA, OREGON
Situated at the eastern edge of the North Willamette Valley against the Cascade Mountain Range foothills, the small town of Molalla is a delight to visit. Home to about 6,000, Molalla boasts one of the nation's oldest rodeos, the Molalla " Buckeroo" held over the week of 4th of July each year.
Forest lands and ranches to the east, farmlands and the country's richest nursery stock immediately west, the area is diverse and beautiful. Within minutes are located several small east valley wineries, the Molalla River Recreation corridor, the national historical Aurora Colony (now bustling with antique shops) and so much more.
Though "worlds away", Molalla lies just 45 minutes drive from downtown Portland or the Capitol in Salem. 15 minutes south is Silverton, home to Oregon's Frank Lloyd Wright house and the Oregon Garden.
A favorite 3 hour tour loop takes you through some of Oregon's most beautiful scenery to Timberline Lodge on majestic Mt. Hood and the spectacular Multnomah Falls.
There is always something to see and do in and around Molalla.
